By default SpamFilter will retry the delivery for ever until the SMTPserver comes back online. Excelent piece of information!  I was always wondering what was limiting my queue flush when I had THOUSANDS of messages in the queue due to a customer server failure.  This gives me yet another way to semi-throttle my outbound flushes on my backup server!

As an FYI, this is not mentioned in the documentation, but whenSpamFilter flushes its queue to deliver all queued messages to yourSMTP server, it will use 1/2 the number of the value "Max InboundConnection" to limit the concurrent threads connecting to your SMTPserver. You can temporarily lower that number if you are worried about"swamping" your SMTP server.

MikeTree,

One warning that I will give you is that SpamFilter does an excelent job of flushing it's Queue ... meaning that if you have thousands of messages, it will hammer your destination server.  The good news is that if your destination server starts refusing connections, SpamFilter will simply re-queue and then try again.

As Dan "The Desperado" mentioned, there is a setting in the ini file,ExpireRetryQueueHours, that controls how long SpamFilter will queueemails. The default value for that setting should be 0 (zero), meaningthat SpamFilter will hold email indefinetly until your SMTP server isback online. There is a setting in the SpamFilter.INI File:
ExpireRetryQueueHours=24
This sets how long the queue retries before dumping messages.

Also, there is a "Flush Now" button in the GUI and a setting for how often it retries by itself.
