This meant that if SpamFilter received connections from IPv6 addresses it would have not been able to stop the majority of the spam.<br /><br />We thus unfortunately abandoned the idea of supporting it. <br /><br />]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/member_profile.asp?PF=1430">Bleuszler</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> IPv6 Support<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 August 2025 at 5:29pm<br /><br />As loathe as I am to resurrect an ~14yr old thread, this seems to be the most recent post relating to this subject (IPv6).<br><br>The LogSat admin's post here says that the new (at that time) engine would add IPv6 support, and yet, here, in 2025, I don't see any indication that this exists/has been done.<br><br>I'm in the process of implementing a new PI-/40 IPv6 rollout on my network, but, as far as I can tell, cannot use SpamFilter as my SMTP-Edge server in that function. I'd love to keep using it (been on it for over 22 years now!) but if it can't see the network, I won't be able to use it...&nbsp;<img src="https://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" alt="Unhappy" title="Unhappy" /><br><br>(I have MS Exchange 2019, and will have to roll it out in an Edge role if I'm forced down that road, but, honestly, I'd rather keep the package that's been quietly doing an awesome job for over 20 years!]]>

They were discontinued after those builds as the DLL were too unstable.<br><br>Unfortunately your build 4.1.2.808 falls in that interval so it is affected. You should upgrade to a newer version of SpamFilter if possible. If not, you can try setting the value:<br>SpamPDFMaxPagesToScan=0<br><br>in the SpamFilter.ini file to disable the scanning of PDF files with that DLL, and thus hopefully avoiding the issue.<br><br></div>]]>

SpamFilter is "antivirus friendly", so should any server-based antivirus block any inbound email, or catch malware in any of the temporary files that SpamFilter saves while processing emails, SpamFilter will understand that it was blocked by a 3rd party and will proceed to process other emails without running into any problems due to the blocked/deleted files.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm again sorry for this,</div><div><br></div><div>Roberto<br></div>]]>
