I am having a problem with an off site user who is unable to relay through us. I have placed his IP in teh Exclude Domains/IPs tab, but he is still unable to send email from us. Is there another step I am missing? Below is the bounced message. I'm not sure if this is an error from my Exchange Server or Spamfilter. -----Original Message----- From: System Administrator [ http://mailto:webmaster@bbtechno.com]Sent: Monday, November 15, 2004 8:34 AM To: jandersen@bbtechno.com Subject: Undeliverable: RE: Undeliverable: RE: Other side of the fence... Sorry, your message to crystal.drumheller@ni.com could not be delivered. The specific error is: server error - 64.144.195.133 said: Relaying is prohibited

Sean,Without seing SpamFilter's activity logfile we can't be 100% sure, but it appears that you do have configured SpamFilter correctly. From your post, it looks as if SpamFilter does accept the email, and then it forwards it to your destination SMTP server (SpamFilter will forward *all* accepted emails only to your destination SMTP server). At this point, it's your Exchange server at 64.144.195.133 that reported a "Relaying is prohibited" error to SpamFilter, and so SpamFilter sends a bounce back to the sender with that error. In the error below, everything after the "Server error - IP_Address said:" is the error message that SpamFilter received when attempting to forward the email:The specific error is:server error - 64.144.195.133 said: Relaying is prohibited
