Black Lists: IPs, Domains, and FROM Emails are not working for me.

As a test I'm using my hotmail account. In IPs I put 207.68.163.0 since most hotmail comes from that block. In Domains I put hotmail.com and in FROM Emails I put my address. Of course I shouldn't have to put these in all three just just to show it isn't working...

Here are my exact entries:
IP:
207.68.163.0

Domain:
hotmail.com

FROM Emails:

I don't know if the debug view offers any more information but here's a copy of that as well:

This has been going on as long as I can recall. I don't think any of these three features have ever worked for me with any version of SpamFilter.

Some things I've tried:
-restarted the service
-removed the existing files and created new ones.
-throwing stuff at my monitor
-used other email addresses, IPs, and domains for this test.

I'm using exchange 2000 with SpamFilter 1.2.0.178

Ashley,

Can you please make sure the local files containing your local black lists (ex the IP blacklist) have actually been created? From the symptoms you describe it looks like there are entries in the memo text boxes on the GUI, but there is no filename being given.

If yes, can you please email us at mailto:support@logsat.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - support@logsat.com your SpamFilter.ini file, along with all your local black/white list files so we can try to reproduce your settings.

Roberto,

I emailed all the files as you requested. Any idea what the problem is?

Under Settings, Customized Items... each Response cannot be blank otherwise the filters will not work.

Many thanks to Dan S. for figuring this out.
