Subject: Quarantine Database shows nothing in SPAM Filter but SQL has entries

I created the tables for Spam Filter on a SQL 7.0 server.  All tests in Spam Filter setup pass.  I have no entries in the Spam Filter program for any items under the quarantine tab.  However, if I go to my SQL server I have all entries that the activity log showed were being quarantined, rejected, banned, etc.  Please help

Ed,

Question ... Do you have a table named "tblServers" ?  If so, what is in it?  Do you have an entry in the ini file that agrees with that entry?  i.e. tblServersServerID=5 or the proper ID number.  I am not sure if this is used by the SpamFilter GUI for it's query but it is used by my ASP code to view which server quarantined it so the GUI MAY do the same thing.

Yes.  I do have a table named "tblServers" and Yes the values match.  I have not even tried the Web interface yet.  I am sure more Q's will pop up then.

Ed,

Any chance we can remote in the server to see what's going on?

Roberto,

If needed, you can remote in to our server for diagnosis of this issue.  Contact me by email if you would like to do so.  We don't currently have remote set-up on this server, but we do have pcAnywhere that I can set up for you in minutes.

We have the same situation... the Quarantine grid doesn't work.  I had ignored it, it is a non-issue for us -- we don't use the GUI for quarantine management.  Still, if this will help to fix a problem, we'll be glad to help.  Just let me know.

Our specifics:

SpamFilter, latest build 206

MDAC 2.7 sp1

Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, updated with all relevant SPs and patches

I posted this on the wrong forum:

I am not sure what happened.  I did some furhther vrifying of the datatbase, shutdown and restarted the LogSat server.  Quarentined items now show in the GUI.

Another problem.  I cannot send items from quarentine to recipient via GUI.  I am not using the web interface yet.  I get error:

10/06/03 07:34:38:609 -- Exception occurred during MarkQuarantineItemsForDelivery: -1 is not a valid value for field 'Deliver'. The allowed range is 0 to 65535.

I have verified that 'Deliver' = 0 and server ID=1.  Where would I look to verify 'MarkQuarantineItemsForDelivery' = ?.  Any other ideas?
