What is the difference between FROM emails setting and Domains setting in Black/White lists?

I thought that Domains would filter domain names resolved by SpamFilter, eg., if host, trying to connect to SpamFilter, contains in its domain name something like "adsl" or "ppp" or something like that, would disconnect or quarantine. But it doesn't work.

I really missed this feature.

Oleg,

The "FROM EMails" blacklists specific email addresses. The "Domains" blacklist blocks emails based on the domain portion of the sender's email address.

Why two separate lists?

Flexibility.

You may want to block mailto:joe@aol.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - joe@aol.com , that can be done with the email list, without having to worry about blocking the whole aol.com. Or you may want to block a whole domain, in which case you can use the other list.

This is super-flexibility, because I can use regular expressions, so using only "FROM emails" I can filter as single emails (say, joe@aol.com), so entire domains (say, *aol.com), isn't it?

So "Domains" would be very useful to set up to filter domain names of hosts, trying to send e-mail to us.

For example, host c-99-99-99-99.client.comcast.net tries to send me a mail, FROM in which is zrqk28@aol.com. So I easily could filter this evil host using regular expression, something like .*client.* or *comcast.net.

This feature could help easily filter all dial-up or DSL senders.
