The queue folder fills up overnight, but does not empty without a restart of spamfilter.  If I restart the Spam filter, all messages are sent without being checked.  Is there something I can do to force the filter check.

John,

When an incoming email passes all filtering rules, it is placed in the queue directory. A new thread is then spawned that attempts delivery to your SMTP server. If for some reason your SMTP server is down or is not accepting the email, the message is left in the queue directory and re-delivery is attempted at 60 minutes intervals (and every time SpamFilter starts up).

Yes, when SpamFilter starts up it will attempt re-delivery without re-filtering the emails. They have already been cleaned, what's left in the queue are only clean messages ready for delivery.

Thank you.  That makes since.  I bring down my mail server services for backup.  That explains why the queue was filling up.  Thanks again.

John
