Hi James,
I'm including the answers below.
1) Ability to "route" mail based on filter to specific email address.
We're not sure what you mean here, pse note that you can already route email based on the TO domain to different destination servers. From the readme http://file:" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://file:
=====================
If you need to have any domain listed here forward its destination email to a different server than the default destination server, you can specify so here. You can override the default destination server by appending the forwarding mail server and port to any domain in this list. The syntax should be as follows:
DomainName:DestinationServer:DestinationPort - ex. logsat.com:mail.netwide.net:25
=====================
2) Right-click in Quarantine to "view" email source
If you double-click on the messages in the quarantine list you'll get just that!
3) A "running_spam_filter_on_same_ip_as_main_SMTP_server" button/option that copies all LOCAL_DOMAINS to the EXCLUDED_FROM_EMAILS file. This was the only way I could get the filter to forward to external domains from local domain workstations.
If we understood that correctly, you really do not want your internal users to use SpamFilter as their outgoing SMTP servers! SpamFilter is designed to be used exclusively as your incoming smtp proxy, outgoing email from your users to the outside should be handled by your smtp server, not SpamFilter. There are serveral posting on this in this forum for more info.
4) Ability to monitor activity log when running as a service. (send to a syslog???)
I'm including the contents of another post for this

Comments When it runs as a service you should see a SpamFilter icon in the tray bar (lower right). Clicking on it will bring up the management GUI.
Pse note the following two issues:
On NT4 only, the icon does not show up when the server is rebooted. It will reappear if the SpamFilter service is stopped and restarted.
The tray icon will not show if remoting in the server with Terminal Services due to the way Windows interacts with our service. It will be visible if remoting in with PCAnywhere, Remote Desktop, VNC and others though.

5) Add your own country to list ie; "dial_up_users" = 192.168.0.1/24 or any other subnet that you might want to monitor. I poll the service every 60 seconds and have a big slice of the pie that says: "...N/A...".
This one goes back to the issue that your internal users should not be going thru SpamFilter. You'll still have some external internet IPs that will not be recognized by the database, but they will be minor.
Hope all this helps!
