Is it possible to indicated in PTR record for some other DNS record that a given MX host has been assigned a static IP?

I recall Some RBLs such as Sorbs net blacklists IPs deemed to be Dynamic, while in fact they are legit leased to companies and are static assignments.  Having a record will save time and effort needed to maintain exclude lists.

Any thoughts?

Sam,

I am not 100% sure what you are asking BUT ... rDNS is in the hands of the "Authoritative Server" that is pointed to by the IP Authority (ARIN, RIPE, etc).  In MANY cases, ISP's (Cable companies in particular) do not update their DNS servers or inform the RBL's that a block is now static.  Having said that, can you better explain what you are attempting to do?
