Hi,
I have the following information in my logs:

05/16/05 15:26:07:878 -- (33512) Connection from: 216.82.255.99  -  Originating country : United States
05/16/05 15:26:08:503 -- (33512) Resolving 216.82.255.99 - mail87.messagelabs.com
05/16/05 15:26:10:457 -- (33512) failed SPF test (softfail) - Disconnecting 216.82.255.99
05/16/05 15:26:10:457 -- (33512) 216.82.255.99 - Mail from:
mailto:test@ddbcanada.com - test@ddbcanada.com To: mailto:artbox@mydomain.com - artbox@mydomain.com will be rejected
05/16/05 15:26:10:660 -- (33512) Disconnect

But this link ( http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/spf.ch?server=test@ddbcanada.com&ip=216.82.255.99 - http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/spf.ch?server=test@ddbcanada.c om&ip=216.82.255.99  ) says that it should pass. It doesn't even say softfail... just pass.

Any ideas?

Using My SPF Testing script, I get the following information:

SPF lookup of sender mailto:test@ddbcanada.com - test@ddbcanada.com from IP 216.82.255.99:

SPF string used: v=spf1 exists:%{ir}.nets.messagelabs.com.
Processing SPF string: v=spf1 include:spf.messagelabs.com ~all.
Testing 'include:spf.messagelabs.com' on IP=216.82.255.99, target domain spf.messagelabs.com, CIDR 32, default=PASS.
include: including SPF at spf.messagelabs.com.
Processing SPF string: v=spf1 exists:%{ir}.nets.messagelabs.com.
Testing 'exists:%{ir}.nets.messagelabs.com' on IP=216.82.255.99, target domain 99.255.82.216.nets.messagelabs.com, CIDR 32, default=PASS.
exists: macro expands to 99.255.82.216.nets.messagelabs.com.  MATCH!
Testing 'all' on IP=216.82.255.99, target domain ddbcanada.com, CIDR 32, default=SOFTFAIL.

Result: PASS

So .... I am thinking that perhaps SpamFilter is having issues with the "exists:%{ir}" statement (?)  You think?

keizersozay, Dan,

You're both correct. Not only were there some issues for the "exists" but also i how some macros were being handled. We just uploaded build 256, avail in the registered user area, with a patch.

Usual notes about pre-release versions - they're not fully tested.
