...unfortunately this is what we get if we make the forum flexible and easy to use without requiring user registration...
The amoun of forum-spam is still manageable, if/when it increases we will require user registration which should slow these down a bit. captchas may be of little use as many of these posts are placed by humans, not robots...

maybe run a forum post through SF before accepting it into the forum db?
