Hi
We are running into an issue with spam from webformular.
We have several sites hosted and most have webformular where end users can send request for information.
The thing is that the ASP koding for the webformular is set to send from one of our local accounts ( mailto:no-reply@e-xxxxx.dk - no-reply@e-xxxxx.dk )
When this hits the spamfilter, it wil validate the email and mail server, witch in this case is the same mail server where the spamfilter is installed.
That means he will not catch the spam.

Does anyone have any idea how to configure it so we can limite the numbers of smap comming through the web formular.

Any thaughts welcome :)

Kind Regards
Morten

Morten,

If the emails are originating from webservers on your own network, it will be very difficult to block spam in the web forms (if I understood your setup correctly). This is because the only filter that can be applied to catch spam is the keyword filter, which is very, very inefficient, as it is usually used to stop very specific emails. All the IP-based filters cannot be used as the emails are originating from your own servers, and the Bayesian and SFDC filters won't work, as the emails are generated by your own webforms, and thus won't have usually the characteristics (headers and HTML content) of "standard" spam.
