Hello,
I am new to this spam software and just received the license. Is there a setup instruction sheet or anything logged that will assist us with setting this software up initially? Thanks!

MagicMikeD,

The setup is rather simple. If you use the installer, it will ask you for the basic information SpamFilter needs:

  1. The destination SMTP server where you want filtered emails to be forwarded to
  2. Your DNS server(s)
  3. The list of email domains you own (The "Local Domains")

This is all SpamFilter needs to work. There are several other settings than can be tweaked later, but out-of-the-box all the default values are just fine in most installations.

If you wish to configure those 3 essential items after you installed, (1) and (2) above can be located by following this screenshot:

For the last one (3), your list of local domains, if you're using SpamFilter Enterprise, you can follow the screenshot at:
http://www.logsat.com/sfi-spam-filter-screenshots/sfi-more-filtering-options.asp%20 - www.logsat.com/sfi-spam-filter-screenshots/sfi-more-filtering-options.asp
If you're using SpamFilter ISP, in the screenshot above, the list of domains in the upper left corner of the window will not be there, while instead you will see a tab labeled "Local Domains".
