Subject: Auto Whitelisting after Manually Releasing

I was under the impression that by releasing a message (simply by changing the 'Deliver' field in 'tblQuarantine'), it would automatically whitelist the sender's email address so future messages from this sender would bypass all filters.
The message gets released, but I can't see that anything has changed (in .txt files or the database) regarding whitlisting of the sender's address. Is there more to this than simply changing the deliver field to 1? Or is this possibly an issue with the trial?
What, specifically, is supposed to happen?

hartsockt,
In the trial quarantined emails may only be released using SpamFilter's GUI (under the quarantine tab). The trial will thus not accept changes made directly to the database, sorry. If you release an email thru the GUI, you will see the from/to email address combo being added to the AuthoWhiteListForceDelivery.txt file.

Releasing a message through the GUI whitelisted it.
Thank you.

I've purchased and installed the registered version (and the user interface displays '(REGISTERED)' on the configuration page. However, when I release a message (via the database), it is not being added to WL_AutoWhiteListForceDelivery.txt. What do I need to do in order to auto whitelist by changing the 'Deliver' field in the database?

hartsockt,
There should be nothing for you to do other than running the licensed version. Could you please zip and email us SpamFilter's activity logfile for today (or the day this happened), along with the to/from email addresses involved? Please also include your SpamFilter.ini file, and the entire \SpamFilter\Domains directory structure.
If the zip file is over 8MB in size, please use our FTP site to upload it (I'll provide you the login info via a PM).

I just noticed that under SpamFilter\domains, there are two folders (\ALL DOMAINS and \SFI). There is a 'WS_AutoWhiteListForceDelivery.txt' file in both folders. And the file in the \SFI folder appers to get updated. I'm wondering if this is a result of switching from Enterprise to Standard during the trial period. Is it ignoring everything under \ALL DOMAINS? Is this normal?
On a side not, when I click 'Save Log To File', it prevents me from doing anything else. The log continues to scroll as events occur, so it appears that SF is still operational. But the speaker beeps and I can't click on anything else in the SF interface. It appears the only way to fix this is to shut down the SF service and restart it. Any suggestions?

The "\SFI" folder is used by SpamFilter ISP Standard (which is the one applies to your case), while the "\ ALL DOMAINS" folder (and any other folder containing a domain name) is/was used by SpamFilter Enterprise. As you switch modes of operations the folders are left in place and are not deleted in case they need to be referenced to later on.
For the "Save Log to File", there should be a standard Windows "Save As" dialog box that appears to allow you to save the text currently in the activity window in SpamFilter to a file. Please note that the activity information is always flushed to the logfile regardless, so there is usually no need to save a copy of the window content.
This said, any chances the window could have appeared behind SpamFilter's GUI? We've never had a similar report, so we're just guessing for now. If it happens again, could you please send us a screenshot?
