Do your engine ignore spaces on the leading and trailing edge of an entry? For example, if I enter "ass " (minus quotes) as a keyword filter it keeps stopping things like the words associates, assume, etc. It appears that your filter ignores leading or trailing spaces and thats a problem. I think this filter should NOT ignore any spaces anywhere in the keyword entry.

Thanks!

We agree! In the keyword list, both trailing and leading spaces in the various text lines are respected and maintained.

I just tried replicating your report with SpamFilter v4.1.2.815, using "ass " (minus quotes) as a keyword, and sending an email with the work "associate", which was indeed allowed to pass thru. Can you let us know what version of SpamFilter you're using?

Do me a favor, please add 'Subject: ass ' (minus quotes) to your SFE database. What I'm seeing is the SQL entries have the space, but the text file that gets created under /domains/xxx/BL_Keywords.txt does not have the space for that entry.  In this case it had 'Subject: ass' (minus quotes) in the text file, missing the space at the end. I have version 4.1.2.8210

Ouch, you are correct. In SpamFilter Enterprise the keywords are indeed being trimmed. For SpamFilter ISP "Standard" instead everything is working as it should.

We're already QA'ing the patch internally, and since this was a very minor fix we'll likely be releasing it tomorrow if there's no surprises during testing.
