Hi,

I'm just want to confirm is it ok to use a domain name in the Excluded Domain/IP whitelist?

So could my list look something like this example :--

*myhouse.com
192.168.30.*
203.18.17.16
203.18.17.17

Its the *myhouse.com bit I am unsure about.

Thanks

Tim

Tim,

I know the IP's work like you have listed, and I often use the domain as well but I have never tried with the *example.com like that.

For one customer we recently did one for yahoo groups like this:

return.groups.yahoo.com

That works for email from yahoo groups, no * was needed in front.

Tim,

The *myhouse.com will work fine, even though it will also block domains similar to inmyhouse.com.
To obtain the exact functionality I'm guessing you're looking for, you can enter the following two entries:
myhouse.com
*.myhouse.com
