====== Important issue affecting the optional antivirus plugin ======
Due to incompatibilities with the latest Norman virus definitions, as of May 4th, 2013 SpamFilter is not able to update its antivirus definition files.
An updated DLL for the optional antivirus plugin must be manually deployed to your SpamFilter installation. In addition, a setting in the SpamFilter.ini file needs to be changed to specify a new download URL for the definition files.
The new DLL (nse32.dll) is available for download at http://www.logsat.com/SpamFilter/pub/nse32.zip" rel="nofollow - http://www.logsat.com/SpamFilter/pub/nse32.zip . To deploy, simply extract the nse32.dll file from the zip into the %(Drive+Path)%\SpamFilter\nse\bin directory.
In the \SpamFilter\SpamFilter.ini file, modify this parameter from: AVUpdateURL=https://nvc.logsat.com/SpamFilter/
to the new value: AVUpdateURL=https://nvc.logsat.com/nvc/
While there is no need to restart SpamFilter when making these changes, we recommend that you do restart so as to verify that the new definition files are being downloaded as soon as SpamFilter is started.
We will release a new build of SpamFilter within the next couple of days that will include these changes. In the meantime, we recommend everyone who purchased the optional antivirus subscription to make these changes manually now in order to continue receiving antivirus updates regularly.
