- How do you set up an entry in the keyword blacklist area to ban mails containing 'anal' but not 'analyst' (this is a real-life situation) or, in other words, what's the regular expresion for "matches whole word only"?

- What is the order of the filters(eg first ORBs, then domain whitelist, etc)?

- I have some trusted domains I do not want the emails to be scanned at all, eg alpha.mine; how can I make sure all emails from this domain are coming without problems? I tried *alpha.mine in FROM whitelist, they are still getting into quarantine for blacklisted words..

- If I enable it to run as service do I still have full access to all settings, etc if I start the console? Can i still delete/release the quarantine?

There are some other questions but for the moment..

Please excuse my ignorance

Thanks in advance

Cristian Croitoru

One answer....

when whitlisting FROM emails, and it includes an entire domain, use the Excluded domain Whitelist

Example:

add:

*alpha.mine

second bit...

to block the word anal, add it to the list as " anal " (no quotes). Notice the spaces.

finally...

in regards to "- If I enable it to run as service do I still have full access to all settings, etc if I start the console? Can i still delete/release the quarantine?"

Yes you can. When running as a service a system tray icon (Next to clock) will be created. Simply click once on the icon and the SpamFilter ISP consol appears. I think it was mention in the other topics that the icon doesnt appear in a session connected by terminal services but will appear on the servers console if you use terminal services.

Cris,

We are currently working to develop decent, good, working Black List and White List Filters for the Awesome SpamFilterISP Prodcuct (Thanks LogSat).

To Aide us with this development we have put together a website (Unofficial!!) for a place for users to help in the development of these list. It is already a good starting place to get a example Keyword Filter List, if you are looking for one (judging from previous post from users, its common).

I dont by any means want to step on any toes of the developers of the SpamFilterISP product which is why it should be noted: This is not a place to discuss problems or wishes for the SpamFilterISP Product. The Official Forum can be accessed at: http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/ . This is simply a place to go to help you with the creationg of your Black List and White List. ANY PRODUCT BUGS, SUGGESTION, AND/OR OF SUCH SHOULD BE POSTEDX ON SPAMFILTERISP'S OFFICIAL FORUM LISTED ABOVE.

With that said, the site can be accessed at:
http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/index.htm" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/index.htm" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/index.htm" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/index.htm

And the Unoffical Forum for development of Black and White List at:
http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/forum/index.php" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/forum/index.php" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/forum/index.php" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://199.6.41.242:8080/SPAMFilterISP/forum/index.php

Ok then, time to get things rolling. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Also, Thanks again to LogSat Software for their great product. If you have yet to purchase the product, let me say that you should, at the price they offer it at, you wont find a solution comparable.

- Sean
