I am trying out the ' download test' version of SpamFilter. All works fine, except for one problem. It seems when spamfilter is busy it sends a tmp file to c:\winnt then on to   c:\spamfilter\queue . Which is ok, unless the email is infected. My Server virus program picks it up. But I would rather have my scanmail virus program pick it up. I can have the virus scan program  exclude  c:\spamfilter\queue. But I do not want to exclude the c:\winnt dir. So when Spamfilter sends the tmp to c:\winnt,  there is my dilemma.

I have SpamFilter listening on 25 email listening on 28.

running winnt 4.0 with TrendMicro Server Protect and Scanmail.

Any ideas?

Shawn,

We had never noticed that, as only attachments are temporarily saved in the %TEMP% system variable directory, which defaults to WINNT\TEMP on most NT4 servers.

That is a very valid request, and we have already modified the current soon-to-be-released beta to stage attachements in the SpamFilter\temp directory instead.
