I would really like to have the possibility to add en X-SCL header to the tagged e-mails so that i can let Exchange handle SPAM coming from SFI. Is there already a possibility to do this or might it be a desirable feature ?

sysiq,

Please see the following section in SpamFilter's manual:

Tag Spam & Deliver - Allows to tag spam by adding the header "X-SF-SPAM:Y" to email classified as spam. The email is then forwarded to the destination SMTP server. This allows administrators to handle spam as they wish on the back-end.
Tag Spam in Subject & Deliver - Allows to tag spam by prefixing the word SPAM: in the subject line of emails classified as spam. The email is then forwarded to the destination SMTP server. This allows administrators to handle spam as they wish on the back-end.

I know exeactly what it says in the manual. But then I would have to buy another tool to read this header in exchange and translate it to an SCL rating header. It would be much easier for me if I could just change X-SF-SPAM:Y to something else LIKE X-SCR:

The request was as legitimate as simple to implement. We've included this feature in the latest pre-release of SpamFilter 3.5.4.716 that is now available (please see www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=6253 for details)

Addendum. With the new version, simply click on the "Save Settings" button while SpamFilter is running. This will create a new entry in the SpamFilter.ini file:

SPAMTagHeader=X-SF-SPAM:Y

Simply edit the header and replace it with whatever you wish. You can edit the file when SpamFilter is running, the change will be imported within a few seconds.
