Has anyone else had problems with relays.osirusoft.com. On 8/26 we started getting a large # of new blacklisted sites from osirusoft. We also started getting the following message in the logfiles. IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is Blacklisted by relays.osirusoft.com.&Please stop using relays.osirusoft.com . The sites that are being blocked are now coming in without osirusoft in the search.

Just today I had a customer who was blocked.  We have considerd removing this from our maps servers but it is out of there now.

osirusoft went out of business and blacklisted the entire internet. They did this to get us to stop using the list.

We too had this problem.  I took relays.osirusoft.com out of blacklist servers to use.  Is there any way I can find out if the companies I'm using as blacklist servers decide to close up shop BEFORE they start blacklisting everyone on the Internet???

I have as well. They appear to have blacklisted PacBell/SBC's email servers, thus I found the problem when family members' email bounced. I just received an email from MDaemon's author/CEO, included below. I tried visiting their site, but cannot reach them - not surprising if they're under heavy DDoS attack. From the link below, you can read several other postings on other forums. Unfortunately I cannot confirm this information, although my experience as a customer of Alt-N/MDaemon is that Arvel is very reliable and level. In my experience, he'd not make a statement or recommendation like that below without basis. You can contact him directly at Alt-N or at http://www.mdaemon.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.mdaemon.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.mdaemon.com

===================

Recently the Osirusoft RBL site has come under serious denial of service attack. In response to this attack the managers of that site have black listed many sites incorrectly. This RBL site is no longer reliable and if you are using it in your MDaemon Spam Blocker you could be refusing legitimate mail or having it incorrectly marked as spam. Please remove any Spam Blocker entry from your Spam Blocker configuration that refers to Osirusoft....

You can read more about the situation at Osirusoft here:

Thanks!
