I am trying to MySQL setup and following the instructions from

Everything seems to working except when I start working through the "Steps"
 
I complete "Step1" - everything is fine -> "Step 2" the initial tables are built and then it says some tables are missing and to proceed to Step2b -> I proceed to "Step 2b" and click on "Update" and it kills the Spamfilter service: the MySQL tables never get updated.
 
How can I manually fix this?

Another piece to the puzzle...

The MySQL database I am/was trying to connect to is located on another server (a linux box).

I installed MySQL on the Windows server that is running Spamfilter ISP and again (carefully) followed the instructions from http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3255" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3255" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3255

I created the database spamfilter -> recreated the new ODBC connector to connect to localhost -> build the string -> tested OK -> ran "Step1" -> everything OK -> ran "Step 2" -> received messaged about incomplete tables; Step 2b was now listed -> run "Step 2b" choose Update and it kills the Spamfilter ISP service.

Same problem connecting to 2 separate databases - help?

More information....

I manually ran the MySql script in "d:\Spamfilter\database\MySql.sql" - the tables added in fine but when I test it still gives the "Step 2b" update issue. 

Is there a script to manually add the missing tables?

Why "Step 2b" doesn't work....

I ran Spamfilter on my local worksation (not as a service) and I get the exact same results except now I can see why the service is failing.

When I connect to the MySQL database and I get to "Step 2b" I get a Pop-Up Windows error message "Cannot Open File """". The System can not find the path specified"

More info...

I have luckily saved all my old versions of SpamFilter ISP and I have tried using an older version to create the tables and the error is remarkably consistent - it simply can't find the file to complete "Step 2b".

To figure out which tables are missing I started SpamFilter with the incomplete MySQL database - a portion of the logfile is posted below...

Can you please try to install/reinstall the latest MDAC data components from http://www.microsoft.com/data?" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.microsoft.com/data? Even if the latest version is already installed, we've seen several instances where other applications will overwite some newer DLL's with older one.

Could you please also email us at support@logsat.com a copy of your SpamFilter.ini file?
