This may have been asked already, so I apologize if so.

It is quite often that I have to add people to our white list because of various reasons like many others here have to do as well. I would like to ability to add tags to the white list(s) to direct the sender/domain to only bypass certain filters.

For example, in the ‘excluded domain/ip’ file you could have

Domain-name.com:MX

And this would tell it anything coming from *@domain-name.com would bypass the mx record check. Different tags could be made for the different filters.

Domain-name.com:RBL

This could bypass the blacklist check... and so on. I just don’t like adding people to the white list and knowing that they are bypassing all my filters... (except the virus check)

Thanks.

Cool idea but sounds very tricky!

Yes it does sound tricky, but I have faith in Roberto. :)

This would be good for some of my customers who want to receive zips because they are a graphics house, but still be able to have spam checking (except for the zips).

One our our planned upgrades is to add the flexibility of chosing to which domain every one of the filters applies to. We were however planning of having this GUI-based, which would require major GUI changes to the interface. Having the same options in the "local domains" file itself, as modifiers for the domains, is actually a good compromise.

We've been thinking about this for the last few days, and will post more info should we opt to go the "easier" route.
