Hi guys

We are still running SF version 2.7 and are very satisfied with it. But we are also starting to see the massive increase in imagespam, so my question is: Is the current image filtering in SF "good enough" to go ahead and purchase an upgrade? Does it catch the majority of imagespam? Is the false positives resonably low?

Thanks for any replies
Brekkjen

brekkjen, purchasing SPI is well worth the money.

After a few months of fine tuning SFI it now lets through very little spam at all. We do about 15000 messages through it a day on 55 domains and I could count the spam that filters through on my hands.

Equally important i could count the weekly false positives on one hand.

With the use of Sawmill for reporting and the SFI quarantine we now operate a premium content filtering service. I was hesitant about registering SFI (was using Norton Mail Security for SMTP) but I have never looked back since.

SFDB feature is good enough reason to register SFI, Roberto & LogSat's service is top notch and they deserve your investment.

I second to the comment. SPI is a GREAT product.

Image spam by its nature is very hard to filter. There's currently no good way to effectively filter it.

For the hassle of dealing other spam, SPI is well worth the money!!!! I cannot speak higher about it!!!!

I have no doubt's of SFI's excellence, (or Roberto's customer service ) I've been using SFI for close to two years but didnt renew my subscripition so I've been stuck on 2.7 for a while. But due to the increase in imagespam we need to do something. I guess even if the image filter is hard to tweak correctly the SFDB feature alone is worth the money.
