I just took over our IT position because our old Admin decided to move :( Anyway, somehow he had it setup that if an email was sent to mailto:whitelist@domain.com - whitelist@domain.com with a email address in the subject line and nothing in the body, the email address would automatically be added to the whitelist. Well, for some reason this is not working now. Anyone have any idea where to start looking or how he might have done this? Yes, I am a fast learning newbie just need to get this fixed. Thanks in advance.

Nick

This would have been a script the old admin had written with the mail program, there is nothing like that as part of SFI.

Look to see if your email program has the ability to run a program when an email is sent to a user. He must have scripted it to add the entry to the whitelist text file.

What mail server package does your company use? I know IMail could do what I described above.

Thanks for the reply. We just upgraded to Microsoft Exchange 2007 right before he left so I'm guessing something didn't transfer because that email address isn't valid on the Exchange server anymore which made me think is was something in the spam filter. I'm guessing that I will have to create a rule for when the mailbox receives an email what to do. Hmmmmm......

Thanks again.
