Hi Roberto,

First of all, mya I say that I LOVE the greylisting.....it's cut down the spam that our server recieves by roughly 70%. Fantastic.

Now then, as far as the greylist limbo and greylist allowed lists are concerned, it's my understanding that they are lists held in memory. If this is the case, if I reboot the machine after installing MS upgrades etc, will the lists be persisted and reloaded next time SF loads??

I do not want our clients to have to go through the learning stage evry time I stop and start SF.

Thanks.

Steven,

The "Limbo", being that it is in memory, will not be able to survive a reboot or SpamFilter restart but hopefully, this does not happen often.  HOWEVER, the "greylist allowed" is updating a file that is re-loaded at SpamFilter startup so that all IPs that have passed the retry requirement and have not excedded the number of days specified in the "GreyListAllowedHold" setting will still be allowed to email with no Graylist delay.

Thanks for replying so quickly.

As long as the ip's that have already passed greylisting servive a stop/start or a reboot then that's really the only thing that is important.

Cheers
