Yesterday upgraded from 3.0.1.555 to 3.0.1.558

After upgrading I'm still getting the message:

HTTP Error in GetSFDBStats:HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

Starting with 558 this is the only message about SFDB repeating every two minutes. In v.555 our system was sending ip's and that is now gone in v.558.

There was never a rejection by SFDB and I've never seen any stats. What can it be?

Thank you,

agavv

agavv,

Can you please make sure that the server with SpamFilter's is still able to access the internet? More specifically, in order to work, the SFDB filter needs to access http://sfdb.logsat.com/. If you try the URL with a browser, you should be directed to our home page.

The usual cause for the errors you're seing (other than our server having a problem...) is caused by firewalls or proxies on your network not allowing the SpamFilter server to contact our site.

Roberto,

From the server it is possible to access your site without any problem. Also the newest version of SF is always displayed.

Your server sfdb.logsat.com with ip-number 209.26.140.32 is 24 hops away from our server and answers with 155 ms. Can that be the reason? After London the response times in the Sprintlink network go from about 20 ms to more than 150 ms for 12 hops.

If you need any logs or other settings you're welcome!

Our server receives thousands of requests every second. If you occasionally receive a server error we can consider it "normal", as we do have to routinely (every few minutes) perform maintenance on the data to expire old entries. By occasionally we mean once every few minutes.

What is unusual is what Web123 is experiencing, an error on regular intervals on the "GetSFDBStats" operation, which is what updates the count of IPs in the SFDB on the GUI. Web123, could you please zip and email us one of SpamFilter's activity logfiles so we can take a look?

Agavv, Web123, igor,

Thank you for the reports. We did find a problem in how our website handled non-US numeric formats. I believe this is fixed now, and you should not see all those errors in the logs.

This would have also affected how the SFDB queries were performed by SpamFilter, and should now see an increase of emails blocked by the SFDB filter in your installs.
