i can't manage using the web interface. should the files be put in a specific folder? should the db be on the same folder as the asp's? after ttrying to register I get an error: Micosoft JET database Engine (0x80004005) Operation must use an updatable query /Register.asp, line 66 Please advice

Lior, We can't fully support the free sample web pages since they are just demos of how a web interface can be used to access the quarantine. However the most common problem with ASP and Access databases are NTFS security permissions on the folder the .mdb file is in. The file can be placed anywhere on the webserver, but the IUSR anonymous IIS users will need RWD (change) rights to that folder and the .mdb file. If you are using a UDL file to define the connection string, the IUSR will need R (read) rights to the UDL file. Hope this helps! Roberto Franceschetti |
