Can you update spamfilter so it doesn't by pass the filters for local ips? I am running a 2nd instance of spamfilter to check only for **SPAM** and it bypasses the messages because it is a local IP.

FYI I run the following services on my box's

SPAMFILTER beta

Norton Antivirus for gateways

NAI Antivirus for Gateways

Spamfilter

Norton does catch some spam that my filters don't and tags it, this is why I have the second spamfilter, so that the spam can still be caught and put in the db.

Kevin,

By default SpamFilter trusts all emails from 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and from any local IP it is listening on. That was by design.

Per your request, we have added a new parameter in the SpamFilter.ini file to prevent that from happening. The next beta build we'll release will have that feature built in.

Roberto,

I can see a potential issue with that setting BUT ... like Kevin, it will solve one of my own issues.  Thanks.

Also, Can you provide an updated list of any previously undocumented ini settings?  And I am using the ":null" settings but do not see that anywhere either.

Regards,

Dan

Kevin,

I sent you a private email on the Feb 2 with the link to download that new build with the feature you requested. Please let me know if you did not receive it and I'll email it again.

Did you get my second copy at 10:54PM (10 minutes ago)? I emailed to the address (hidden) you registered in the forum.

If not, please email me at support@logsat.com so I can reply to it.
