Hi;

with version 1.2.0.212, sometimes I get this error when receiving a message:

server error - Cannot load message from file D:\Program Files\SpamFilter\queue\IndF515.tmp

...with no further details. Can it be my anti-virus?

Any help or comments?

Thanks a lot.

I had the same issue and yes it does relate to your Anti-Virus, though it could be something else.  Infected messages get pulled out of the queue before SF sends it out.  This is not a bad thing in my mind, but if you would like to prevent the error from happening, just exclude that folder from your Anti-Virus app.

Rafa,

Usually that error means that the temp file containing a message to be delivered is no longer accessible, probably because it contained a virus and the antivirus software on the server removed it before SpamFilter could access it.

We designed SpamFilter ISP knowing that this could happen, and we actually facilitate it by inserting delays between when a temp email file is written and when it is read. This helps your existing antivirus to catch email viruses. Should the file be missing SpamFilter "understands" and will clean up after itself by removing other related files that are left over, will log the event, and will continue accepting other emails. It is a benign error.
