Ver. 1.1.0.80 & 1.1.0.90 both will not accept messages over 1mb (with attachment)?

The message will sit in the connection section for about 60 seconds then report a disconnect status with no error?!?

Please help!!

Dave,

Are you 100% sure that your destination SMTP server does not impose limits on attachment size? SpamFilter does not have any limits, it simply forwards the email "as is" to the dest. smtp without altering the message body. It only add a couple of headers to the email (the X-Server and Received:).

Yes. I am 1000% sure. The email is never forwarded. This is the problem. It just sits in the connections grid for about 120 seconds then disconnects. It does not forward the message nor reply an error ?!?

If I turn off the filter, I can recieve the messages fine. Looking on our linux server (Email server) the section about message size is commented out which means size is unlimited.

Thanks!

Have you tried the latest .117 build to see if the problem is still there?

If so, you can try running SpamFilter in standalone mode (not as a service) with the following command line parameter:

SpamFilter -v aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd

where aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd is the IP of the remote server which is not working correctly.

This will display more verbose information on the activity tab when that server connects.
