The only way I can get the Access udl file to connect to my database is by using Admin for the username and a blank password. I'd like to have a different username with an actual password. I have set up a password for the Admin account in Access. I've also added a new user and password. When I try the Admin user and password in the udl file it won't connect. If I try my new user and password it won't connect either. Since I added a password on the Admin account in Access I must enter it when opening the database. Why does the udl file allow me to connect with a blank password? I must be missing something simple! The error I get states that the workgroup information file is missing.
