I am currently connecting to mysql via ODBC, are there any other methods of connecting from Windows / Spamfilter to MySQL than ODBC? I don't find the ODBC connection to be working to well.
I get the error about the MySQL server has gone away all the time, and in reality it is still working away fine so I would like to try a different connection method if one is available. Edited by caratking |

Hi caratking
Don't know if you're still having the probem but I just ran into the 'mysql server has gone away' problem as well and found out the solution is to increase the max_packet_allowed to a value higher than your maximum allowed email size, so that inserts into tblMsgs will not fail. Regards, Mike |
