I am getting a weird message appended to the rejection email. The error states:

"This site is misconfigured and too dumb to accept email "

I do not see this anywhere in SF configured.

Rifleman, can you please post the list of MAPS servers you're using, as entered in SpamFilter? Do you have a minimum number of RBL matches required to reject a message? In the sampe you posted above, there appears a reject by njabl.org and one by sorbs.net.

SpamFilter does log and report the message received from the RBL during a query, but we've never seen that kind of repsonse before. Furthermore, the IP is currently not listed in njabl.org.

Can you please also send us your SpamFilter.ini file at support at logsat dot com?

Here is my list:

relays.ordb.org, true
sbl.spamhaus.org, true
xbl.spamhaus.org, true
dns.njabl.org, true
dnsbl.sorbs.net, true
dynablock.njabl.org, true

My minimum of RBL matches is 2.

I send the file as well.

Thank you.

You'll probably want to stop using dns.njabl.org. It is them outputting the unprofessional message (or that IP must have done something really, really bad to them...).

You can verify this by performing the following DNS nslookup query (your commands are in bold):

C:\>nslookup
Default Server:  ns1.netwide.net
Address:  209.26.140.2

> set type=txt
> 162.11.6.69.dns.njabl.org
Server:  ns1.netwide.net
Address:  209.26.140.2

162.11.6.69.dns.njabl.org       ; text =

"This site is misconfigured and too dumb to accept email"

Well, NJABL just replies this way on any really misconfigured query (to nonexistent zone):

C:\>nslookup -type=txt 230.65.226.194.any.njabl.org.
Non-authoritative answer:
230.65.226.194.any.njabl.org    text =
"This site is misconfigured and too dumb to accept email"
