Hi.
with some help from this forum I have managed to setup the Spamfilter.
Very successfull. Last night we received 22000 spam and forwarded 1700.
Had some start problem with pictures and PDF files but sorted that thanks to this forum as well :)
Now i have one problem
I have about 150 viritual domains and they all are on the same server with one IP address.
All can receive mail accept one. it is very strange.
If I use my own SMTP server and send to xxxx@nakkeboelle.dk the person will receive the mail.If i send using any other SMTP Server (ex: ntlworld.com, tele.dk) she does not get the mail. I dont beleve its blacklisted as they are on the same mail server as 150 other domains.
I looked in the logfile and one thing stroke me:
_______________________________________________________________________
04-07-08 00:26:11:093 -- (176) Received MAIL FROM: <JaysonsuppressibleDurham@fourthrotor.com>
04-07-08 00:26:11:234 -- (392) Received RCPT TO: else@nakkeboelle.dk 04-07-08 00:26:11:234 -- (392) Mail from: akstcafrenchrosemnsdgs@afrenchrose.com To: else@nakkeboelle.dk - rejected - no relay allowed or % found in FROM address ________________________________________________________________________
All mails to this user says Rejected-no relay allowed or % found in FROM address
All other 150 domains on server do not get this message.
This is the only one that does not get any mails at all.
She is on the white list.I have checked
The log file is now 64MB (one day) so cant attach, but this is the only of the domains that gives this error
Any idea where to start looking
Kind Regards

morten44,
Can you please ensure that in the list of allowed domains, the domain "nakkeboelle.dk" is entered and is spelled correctly, and that there are no trailing/leading spaces on that line? The "no relay allowed" error indicates that SpamFilter does not contain that domain in its list of allowed domains, and the above problems are the most common ones. |

Hi.
Thanks alot.
That worked. It was an empty caracter after the domain name. removed it and working fine.
I have another issue now with some very important mails getting lost. I will paste in here what the log file says about why it was rejected. I have no idea where to start looking.
Any suggestions?

I think you need to edit SPF-settings under Settings->Configuration-SPF Settings and
select Pass for SPF Result = "Neutral"

Kim is absolutely correct.
As a side-note, after making the change, please try closing the SPF settings window and then reopening it to ensure the settings "stuck". In a handful of cases, in SpamFilter Enterprise, if the database is not configured correctly, that setting may revert back to the incorrect value. |

Hi
Thanks for your responds.
Yes that did the trick and it does save the settings fine.
Now mails are not caught in the filter when arriving in status : Neutral
I should have seen that myself as very clear instructions , but paniced a little when seeing all the mails going to spam. Thanks for answering :)
It is now up and running fine. On first day it caught 80.000 spam and delivered 6000 mails. I belive only about 20mails was lost but as I did make the quarantine filter I managed to release them. Now after final ajustement it seems to be very spot on :)
Thanks again.
Kind Regards
Morten
