hi,

I am running spam filtering software
daily i am getting new spam e-mails which software fails to identify even if i tweak it..

so is there any (global)spam database in internet readily available to download and updated so that i can import it to my spam softtware database...(doesnt matter if the databse is too huge)..

thanks...

param,

SpamFilter will work out-of-the box with the default settings in most of the cases. Please note that SpamFilter *must* be able to see the sender's original IP address to perform its IP-based filtering, and that if email is routed thru a different server before reaching SpamFilter will not only prevent it form blocking spam, but will also block legitimate emails for senders that implement SPF (Sender Policy Framework).

Please also ensure that your DNS server, as specified in SpamFilter, is working correctly, and that you do still have the default blacklist servers listed in the MAPS and SURBL blacklists (ex. see screenshot at http://www.logsat.com/sfi-spam-filter-screenshots/sfi-more-filtering-options.asp).

If you are still having problems after confirming the above issues are... not an issue, if you can please zip and email us about an hour worth of SpamFilter's activity logfile we'll take a look to see what the problem could be.
