When running SpamFilter ISP as a service (W2K) rather than standalone, there are no log files created. Is this behaviour by design, or am I missing a configuration detail? Thanks.

Fixed... when I first created the service, it must have been from the original unzip folder, not the final install folder. Consequently, the service was calling the EXE from the wrong folder. There was no "logfiles" folder under unzip, which is what I'm guessing the service was tripping on. Reinstalling the service wouldn't work, so I nuked the old service, installed it from the correct location, and all is now well. :-) Cheers. |

I am running as a service and it logs fine. In your SpamFilter.ini, you should have a line "Logging=1" and make sure you have a folder off the SpamFilter root named "LogFiles" . I am not sure if it will create the folder on it's own so you may have to make a folder and restart the service. If all this is in place already, then I don't know why it won't log. Dan Seligmann |
