Recently I've been informed of some huge delays in receiving messages from non-local domains. And I suspect that the culprit is our spam filter. Yesterday, there was a delay of almost 6 hours from the time the message was sent to the time it was received in the user's mailbox. I'm wondering what things in Spam Filter ISP might cause this large delay.
Furthermore, how (specifically) can I follow a specific message through the filter (e.g. confirm it's received and determine if/when as well as where it's been sent to)? Thanks, Tom |

If I had to guess it's the greylisting. We had that problem for a bit. Try disabling that for a while and see if things improve

You might also want to check how many messages you have in your queue folder. If there are a lot, it tells you there is a problem with your server making deliveries.
