We have just uploaded at http://www.logsat.com/SpamFilter/beta.asp a new beta distribution. This update does not require any database changes.

Please note that this beta build will expire on 7/1/2003!

The revision history for this build is:

// New to VersionNumber = '1.2.0.162';
{TODO -cNew : Added tab to test if a RegEx (Regular Expression) triggers a match}
{TODO -cNew : Added tab to debug/view SMTP transactions between us and a remote host}
{TODO -cNew : Keyword search in Email headers now only works with Subject, all other headers are excluded to reduce false positives}
{TODO -cFix : "TO Emails" Blacklist Open File button was not working}
{TODO -cFix : Stopping SpamFilter service while servicing multiple incoming connections fails}
{TODO -cFix : Exception MarkQuarantineItemsForDelivery when manually deleting some items in quarantine}

Roberto,

{TODO -cNew : Keyword search in Email headers now only works with Subject, all other headers are excluded to reduce false positives}

WHY DID U DO THAT!!!! it was SO cool to check whole headers and body against keywords filter.... there are some very usefull stuff to stop several spam types... Please make it optional..... I've NEVER HAD a false positive because of headers... and u KNOW my b/ls! :)

The problem was that some headers contained elements like:

MsgID: <128754rgft4632s34.domain.com> for bla bla bla

So that would cause all html regex filters to fail...

Seems the best compromise is to create a seperate filter for the the header.

I too would like to be able to filter by header keyword content, as I filter email that passes through certain IP addresses too.
