So the following was rejected:
Received MAIL FROM: service@ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.com 08/06/14 11:21:00:703 -- (27145264) Detected TCP Connection: XXX.X.158.90 08/06/14 11:21:00:703 -- (27145264) Connection from: XXX.X158.90 - Originating country : United States 08/06/14 11:21:00:703 -- (27145264) IP is in local blacklist cache. Disconnecting: XXX.X.XXX.90 08/06/14 11:21:00:703 -- (27145264) No Data Received ~~~
How can I change the settings so that I accept, but quarantine, instead of reject? |

If an IP address sends several spam emails in the span of a few minutes, the IP will be added temporarily to the IP blacklist cache. Any further connection attempts from that IP will be immediately rejected to prevent denial of service attacks from that sender. It is not possible to quarantine those emails as the connection is dropped before the SMTP session is established
It is possible however to exclude specific IPs from being added to that temporary blacklist if desired thru a parameter in the SpamFilter.ini file (DoNotAddIPToHoneypot). |
