After upgrade to newest version .704 we discover that some emails are taged as spam with reason:
X-SF-WhiteListedReason: Whitelisted EMail Address From
X-Rejection-Reason: 24 - Blank email with specified attachment only

As you can see sender is on white list. Email contains attachment (pdf) but it IS NOT blank. It has more than 20 lines. Its content-Type is text/plain only.

I found that this option was added in .704
// New to VersionNumber = '3.5.4.704';
{TODO -cNew : Added the capability to stop blank HTML emails, in addition to blank plain text emails, with specified attachments}

So why is it taged as spam?

I am also having the same issue. I am receiving emails with PDF attachment that re getting tagged as spam even though their domain in my white list. Looking at the email headers I see:

X-SF-WhiteListedReason: Whitelisted Email From Domain
X-Rejection-Reason: 24 - Blank email with specified attachment only

But the email is not blank... there are 11 lines of text and if you include html content of the email there are over 100 lines.

So my question is how to get SF to see that these are not blank and stop SPAM tagging them.

Thanks.

AdamD, BigRedN, could you please forward us to support at logsat dot com the full, original source of those emails? Please note that some email clients, like Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft Outlook Express does not have this problem) will completely alter the source of the email, making it very different form the original.

We received the files, and were indeed able to reproduce the problem. Both your SpamFilters are configured to "Tag and Deliver" email if it s spam.

There is a known issue in build 704 relative to whitelisted recipients that has  another (until now) unkown side-effect. If an email arrives to a whitelisted recipient, and SpamFilter is configured to "Tag and Deliver", the "Blank email with specified attachment" filter can be incorrectly triggered.

Several bugs present in build 704 that deal with whitelisted recipients and email splitting have been fixed with the latest pre-release version that is available in the registered user area, build 3.5.4.711.

We just verified that these fixes in build 711 also indirectly fix this issue reported in this thread. Upgrading to this latest version should thus solve the problem.
