I have a problem. I want to block one single email user from sbcglobal.net (for example abcd@sbcglobal.net). However, I want to let all other sbcglobal.net email through. So I have *@sbcglobal.net entered in the "Excluded From" Whitelist. Then I have abcd@sbcglobal.net (also abcd*.*) entered into the "From Emails" Blacklist. The Blacklist should block emails from abcd@sbcglobal.net, but the Whitelist should let it through. In any case they are coming through.
Can you give me any assistance please. Thank you JC |

The whitelists have priority over the blacklists, so if you whitelist *@sbcglobal.net, that will allow all emails from that domain to become unfiltered, regardless of the entry in the blacklist.
However.... The whitelist (as most other list) supports the use of RegEx (Regular Expressions). You could create a single keyword using RegEx that will cause a match for all addresses except the "abcd@sbcglobal.net". RegEx is very very powerful but also a bit "challenging" to create more complex rules. We'll try to come up with an expression for yo within the next few hours. In the meantime if there are any RegEx gurus reading (and there are quite a few excellent RegEx masters who use SpamFilter!) suggestions are welcome! |

jcraver, This one is very hard as the RegEx engine used in SpamFilter does not support "look ahead" and therefor the NOT function is also not supported. So, depending on what the "abcd" address actually is, it will be hard or very hard to do but "hard" being the operative word. If you want you can PM me the actual address. |
