A day ago I found a mail in the quarantine box but the senders domain was white listed.
In the header I found that it was blocked because it didn't meet the spf rules, it was received by our fallback mail server. Also the header was the line:

X-SF-WhiteListedReason: Quarantine force-delivery

Is this a bug, or does the spf filter overrule the whitelist.

The header:

List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:XXXXXXXXXX@bounce.mkt32.net?subject=Unsubscribe>
X-Server: LogSat Software SMTP Server
X-SF-WhiteListedReason: Quarantine force-delivery
X-SF-RX-Return-Path: <XXXXXXXXXXXX@bounce.mkt32.net>
X-SF-HELO-Domain: fallback1.mx.nxs.nl
X-SF-Originating-IP: 193.189.134.4
X-Rejection-Reason: 15 - 550 The sender did not meet Sender Policy Framework rules. Please see http://spf.pobox.com

I'm on version 4.0.1.783

jemmie,

The header "X-SF-WhiteListedReason: Quarantine force-delivery" was added only when the email was force-delivered from the quarantine, so the emil was not originally whitelisted.

The most common causes of an email *not* being whitelisted by the domain whitelist are caused by:

1. sender's domain not being in the whitelist to begin with. Please ensure that the domain listed in the header "X-SF-RX-Return-Path: <XXXXXXXXXXXX@bounce.mkt32.net>" is indeed whitelisted (this is the *true* sender's domain, not what is listed as the "From:" email header.

2. There are trailing or leading spaces in the domain whitelist on the line containing the domain "bounce.mkt32.net" in question.

If neither of these causes is the issue, please contact us by email providing us your SpamFilter activity logfile for the day this happened, and the contents of your \SpamFilter\Domains directory structure (if the domain whitelist file is located in another directory, please include that as well).
