Hi
I have tried to upgrade the latest stable version of ISP Spamfilter.
I download the upgrade and unzip it.
Its says that it contain 2 dll files.
I can not see any dll files.
Are they not needed.

Is it so generally that when you upgrade, you have to always install ALL the release version from the one you have unitll the latest?
I think sometime i see additioanl files in an earlier release that I do not see in the latest stable version.

How do I do.
Sorry for not beeing version spesific as i do not have access to webserver logon and logsat account from where i am now, I there are 3 updates since the version we are currently running.

Regards
Morten

Morten,

To upgrade SpamFilter you can simply download the "binaries" only package from the website, extract the two executables SpamFilter.exe and SpamFilterSvc.exe in the SpamFilter directory overwriting the old ones, and restart SpamFilter. 99.9% of our upgrades can be performed this way. Sometimes the zip may contain updated DLLs and/or a new GeoIP.dat file, in which case simply copy them over to the SpamFilter directory as well.

If you wish, you can also upgrade using the "usual" setup.exe installer, which essentially will do the same thing (upgrade the executables and leaving all the config files intact). However, if you'’re like most admins, you will prefer to have total control of your upgrades, thus our first method will probably be your preference :-)

PS - There is no need to install "intermediate" update files.
