I tried to run 4.5.0.31 but the service would fail, freezing the spamfilter.  I could not stop it from the services but had to stop the process from the task manager forcefully and manually restart the service.  Failure or freeze would occur one or more times daily.  I've tried to work with the service and yesterday gave up. I reverted back to 4.24.851 and it did not fail in the last 24 hours.

Note that 4.5.0.31 ran fine on one server running Server 2000 but failed on Server 2003.  I am still running 4.5.0.31 on the Server 2000.

You may be onto something .... I had 108 occurrences of "IdSMTPServerException Max line length exceeded." when I was running 4.5.0.31 and none of this error since I reverted to the previous version.
