We are running version 1.2.0.206 of SpamFilter and are trying to use the Unfiltered Emails whitelist to allow some people to bypass the filtering since they had some important messages blocked by the filter and do not want their email filtered anymore. We created a text file with the email addresses and pointed the unfiltered whitelist to this file, but I am noticing that they are still getting messages blocked for them, almost like it is not even bothering to check the unfiltered list. Is this feature currently working properly in this release or is there something else I need to do to allow them to bypass the filters? I was thinking maybe it just had something to do with the order that SpamFilter checks the lists, and was assuming that it went through the white lists before it went through the black lists, but I may be mistaken. I just looked through my log files for one of the addresses that was getting blocked and noticed that it seems to only be happening on messages to multiple recipients where one of the recipients is on the local black list for EmailTo. I also found one where if it had multiple recipients and one of the users was unfiltered but the other was not and it failed to pass the filters then it was quarantined for both recipients. So I guess I know what the issue is now, I guess this is more of just a heads up for you then. |
