Hi Roberto & Gang,
I think to woud be very useful for users if there was an entry entered into the log each time change(s) were made to the configuration settings. This entry then could be used as a reference marker to help track to see if the change produced the desired results...or not. For example, if you edit or remove the keywords in the configuration, and once the "Save" button is clicked, then at that moment, spam filter would enter on a line by itself in the log...and say something like.. "Configuration Updated" or perhaps "Configuration Changed or Modified". Perhaps even going as far as actually stating in the log what was modified That would help in tracking the results in the log easier, since you could just locate that line in the log, and then you would know from that line down, spamfilter is running with the new changes to it's configuration. That would aid in perfecting RegEx tweaks and changes as well. Sure would help in fine tuning keyword lists, and such.. Comments? Chuck

Excellent idea. We've already made the change and it will be available in the next build we release. PS - Logging exactly what was changed is impractical, we're only logging the fact that a change was made. Roberto F. |
