I am running the evaluation version of SpamFilter (1.2.0.212). I installed the software and set it all up as required (running in standalone mode). Then I sent some test emails with words like xxx and viagra in the message. The keyword filter picked these up and quarantined the message... so far so good. When I click on Create NT Service, the service is created and started, etc. But this stops it working!! all emails just pass through without being filtered. I then cannot get it working again without completely re-installing the software. Any ideas? |

Stephen, Can you please post more details on the "But this stops it working"? Do you see any errors popping up on screen? Can you provide a copy of the SpamFilter actity log (found in /SpamFilter/logfiles directory) so we can see the problems? Please note that you cannot (without making some config changes) run concurrently the standalone version of SpamFilter and the SpamFilter service. They are two separate applications that would try to listen on the same IP address/port, and would thus conflict with each other. Roberto F. |
