I have been using the software for a little less than a month and
am just about ready to pay my $200 to be a licenced user, but I
wanted to find this out first. We have a domain. Lets call it 'domain.com'. We have a primary
mail server (mail.domain.com at 192.168.1.50 on our network)
and a secondary server (backup.domain.com) in two different
locations on two different machines. We have added
SpamFilterISP to a third machine (mail.domain.com at
192.168.1.55) and have our router send all port 25 traffic to the
.55 machine. Are you with me so far? We have the destination server setting under configuration set to
go to the 192.168.1.50 (where our mail server is) for delivery and
of course our domains in the local domain list under the whitelist. Here is the question... We can't seem to get mail to go to the
secondary mail server (backup.domain.com) if our primary is
down. SpamFilterISP will just try to deliver it to the primary server
and we get a delivery error. Thanks in advance for your help.\frank

Frank, Currently SpamFilter can only deliver mail to one destination smtp server per domain. You can have email addressed to different domains be forwarded to different smtp servers, but a backup smtp server for a specific domain cannot be specified (yet). Adding that option is in the plans, but unfortunately I do not have an ETA on its implementation yet. Roberto Franceschetti |

That's too bad. I was really hoping that it would be able to do
that. I guess I would vote to get that on a future release version
as a feature request. Thanks for an otherwise excellent program!\frank
