Have just installed SpamFilter on a NT4 server. Attempt to launch program produces a

DrWatson exception error:  'The application, ,generated an application error'.

I have seen in forum need to have Microsoft's MDAC Data Access Components installed for SpamFilter to run. Am running a SQL Server 7 clustered installation and see a Microsoft

warning on MDAC download page

(http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/list/dataaccess.asp?frame=true) that installing release

MDAC 2.6 onwards will break the cluster.

Not intending to quarantine mail, and MS Access not installed on server.

Presume launch problem relates to need for MDAC?

What version of MDAC can I safely install?

Thanks
Richard

Richard,

SpamFilter needs MDAC to be installed, if it's not present it will generate an error (whicih we'll soon fix).

The minimum of MDAC 2.7 is required only if using MS Access, if you do not intend to use the quarantine, pretty much any version of MDAC should suffice.
